WATER SOFTENERS

The majority of groundwater is hard water, which means that it contains large amounts of calcium and magnesium. While hard water is still safe to drink, these minerals can cause build up in pipes, appliances, showers and water heaters, reducing their flow. We can design and install a water softening system that removes these minerals before they cause damage and require expensive repairs.

REVERSE OSMOSIS

A reverse osmosis water treatment system can have a great impact on removing dissolved minerals from your water. The system pushes water through a fine membrane, which separates the minerals from the water and flushes it away. We can install a reverse osmosis system in your home that can remove anywhere from three to 20 litres of water for every one litre of treated water.

UV DISINFECTION

Ultraviolet disinfection is a chemical-free process that attacks the actual DNA of the bacteria in water, leaving them without the ability to reproduce. This process is particularly effective against Cryptosporidium or Giardia parasites, which are resistant to alternative chemical treatments. UV oxidation can destroy chemical contaminants and ensure a high rate of disinfection.

WATER TREATMENT

If you own a well, it’s recommended that you have your well water tested at least once a year for bacteria, nitrates, and any other contaminants: microbial, inorganic, and organic. According to Health Canada, well water should also be tested if there is any change in colour, clarity, odour, or taste or if the land surrounding the water source has been disturbed.
