How it works

Softeners are simple machines, but a few things go wrong with them regularly: a salt bridge in the brine tank, a stuck float, worn seals in the valve, fouled resin from iron, or a controller that has lost its settings. Most of these are quick to fix when caught early, and all of them show up as hard water or high salt use.

We service Excalibur systems and most other major brands. Tell us the brand, model and roughly how old it is and we will tell you whether we can help and what it might need. Our technicians carry common valve parts, floats and resin cleaner, so many repairs are done in one visit.

If the unit is old and undersized, we will say so and give you the honest comparison between repairing it and replacing it.

What is a salt bridge?

A hard crust of salt that forms above the water in the brine tank so the unit cannot make brine. Breaking it up usually fixes the problem; we will show you how.
