Well water concerns

If you have just moved to a property on a well, or inherited a treatment system you do not understand, the first step is a full test of the raw water. Hardness, iron, manganese, sulphur, tannins, pH and sediment each have a treatment, and a bacteria test through the public health laboratory tells you whether disinfection is needed.

From the results we design a treatment train in the order that works: sediment first, then iron and sulphur, then softening, then UV, with reverse osmosis at the kitchen sink if you want the best drinking water. You do not have to do everything at once. We prioritize safety and the problems you notice most, and design so stages can be added later.
